Jo is an expert in delivering high impact, inclusive programmes and projects for a range of clients and artists with a global impact.
Jo designed and lead the development of a community of over 280 artists and organisations for the British Council’s International Collaboration Grants (ICG) in 2023/23. Spanning all artforms and over 40 countries, the programme is designed to facilitate international connections and learnings across the funded projects.. Jo will continue to work with the new iteration of grantees into 2024/25.
In 2016-2018, Jo worked with the director of Birds Eye View to develop and launch the organisation’s nationwide (UK) campaign to grow audiences for films by women. In its first two years, Jo curated over 50 screenings and events, incorporating creative activities to accompany the screenings and build activist communities in cinemas.
In 2022, Jo designed and creatively produced a new free-access resource for short filmmakers in collaboration with British Council, the BFI and BAFTA called The Short Film Toolkit. You can take a look here: https://film.britishcouncil.org/resources/short-film-toolkit
Jo also has a wealth of experience in event production - she been head of production for the East End Film Festival and London Short Film Festival.
